How Do You Do?

I’m Sherrie and I’m so happy you’re here…

I named Mile Thirteen Photography after the river mile marker of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, a landmark connecting Oregon and Washington over the Columbia River. It’s the heart and soul of Astoria.

My passion for photography began in high school with a homemade pinhole camera and hours spent developing images in the darkroom—a hands-on process I still miss. As technology evolved, so did I, but my goal remains the same: capturing authentic, compelling portraits and landscapes with my trusted Canon R6 Mark II.

Trained at the British Academy of Photography, I specialize in portraits that reveal personality and emotion, whether working with couples, children, or high school seniors. I create a relaxed, fun experience in the studio or outdoors, embracing the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest as a backdrop.

Beyond portraits, my landscape photography captures the ever-changing beauty of this region, from misty forests to golden coastal sunsets. These fine art prints bring the essence of the outdoors into homes and spaces.

From professional headshots to senior portraits and laid back photo sessions, my studio offers a range of photography services designed to make lasting impressions. Every session is more than just a photo—it’s a moment in time to treasure for years to come.
